WHO PHOTOGRAPHS & WHO FILMS?

WHAT TIME OF DAY SHOULD WE PLAN OUR CEREMONY?
There are ways you can plan your wedding timeline so that you make the most of the light while also spending max time with your guests.
Check out http://www.timeanddate.com/astronomy/australia/sydney. Here you can search by location and see the sunrise/sunset times and use them as a guide for mapping out the rest of your wedding timeline.
In summer for example the best light is very late in the day (say 7:30 – 8:30 in the evening), which is usually well into the reception time. A way to get around this is to have a late afternoon ceremony, followed by time mingling with your guests and some photos with your bridal party before kicking off your reception. Then, allocate time to quickly slip away from your reception with us to make the most of the light at the end of the day with just the two of you.
During the colder months the light drops away very quickly, so starting your ceremony 45 minutes before sunset will leave it nearly dark before you even start your bridal photos. Consider this when planning, if you are restricted by a time (by a venue perhaps) then consider doing a ‘first look’ and your bridal photos before the ceremony.
CAN YOU SAVE THE DATE FOR US?
We’re happy to keep tentative bookings for relatively short periods, but once you’re sure of your date and want to commit to using us we require a 20% deposit to secure that date.
DO WE MEET BEFORE THE DAY?
It’s completely up to you. It’s nice to be able to relate personally to each other, but having said that many clients aren’t free to travel to Milton/Mollymook, so we can set up a time to chat on the phone.
DO YOU RECORD SPEECHES & VOWS IN YOUR FILM?
Nathan creates a short cinematic film that is set to music telling the story of your day in an emotive artful way. Audio recordings of vows and speeches are only included in the larger 8 hour package. They will be provided to you as raw footage on usb.
DO WE GET RAW FOOTAGE OR UNEDITED PHOTOS FROM THE DAY?
We only select the best clips and shots from the day. When taking a photo Jade might take five images to get the one shot this is much the same as Nathan's films anything else would be a double up and not needed. If Nathan feels he has got some great footage but understands its for private use only he will provide this on USB.
HOW DO YOU CHOOSE THE MUSIC FOR OUR FILM?
Throughout the day Nathan keeps a track of whats being played during the ceremony and reception so he knows what type of music you like. Nathan is happy to take music suggestions from each couple but ultimately its the filmmakers choice in what will work best for your film. A good guideline is to check out our films and see what songs we have already used. Yours will fit closely along these lines.
DO WE NEED TO FEED YOU?
We are on our feet all day so a quick break and a meal will be greatly appreciated :)

WHAT IF WE ARE CAMERA SHY & DONT LIKE POSING?
We try to be as inconspicuous as possible keeping a wide eye for those candid moments.

OCEAN SESSIONS .
DO I NEED TO BE A GOOD SWIMMER?
It is recommended that you are a confident swimmer and happy to dive under the water to hold your breath for a few seconds at a time. On the day Nathan will give you full guidance on posing and feeling confident in the water.
WHERE ABOUTS DO YOU SHOOT?
Our shoots are in inlets and calm bays around Mollymook, Narrawallee and Ulladulla.
WHAT DO WE WEAR FOR OUR SHOOT?
Happy for you to wear whatever you feel confident in. Keep in mind that dress's can become heavy and hard to manage when wet. We recommend a light wait fabric, knee high dress which will be a lot easier to manoeuvre in. We are also happy if you would like to add any surfboards or flotation devices to the shoot for a bit of fun.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WATER CLARITY IS BAD?
We will be in discussion with you before the shoot as to what you what you would like to do.
We can either postpone the shoot or opt for shooting half in half out of the water. There is
just no point in shooting under the water when its terrible clarity.
HOW DEEP IS THE WATER?
It depends on the location, we can either take you waist deep or in water with depths of
2-4meters. Please let us know what you are comfortable with when you book.
WHAT TIME IS BEST FOR SHOOTING?
The best time for shooting is in the late afternoon about 1 hour before sun down.
